A look back in time...

Gil as a 1st year LV...

The vote: Lots of facial hair or not so much

(Gil, you're handsome either way, but let's get some people speaking up around here...)

Speaking of Chuck Norris, I kid you not when I tell you that more then the majority of the Harvey Community surrounded the tv the other night, silenced in pure interest and excitement as we watched "Walker, Texas Ranger" waiting for the moment when he would resort to his roundhouse kick.

He didn't let us down and as his body swung with one from the left, then one from the right, and then the finale roundhouse kick back from the left, we all cheered as his nemesis fell from the top of the Dallas football stadium and splattered onto the ground below.

    Sick.

    Anyone else for community bonding?

The community bonding was great. What Jolleen didn't say is we held prayer just a shade early, so we could all get back in time to see the last five minutes of Walker. Can't miss the big roundhouse kick.

I'm not sure I get a vote in this, but obviously I like the beard myself (that's why I keep it). Plus it's a lot lower maintenance than staying shorn - you can get by on a weekly trim.

Joel - Portland is as I remember it. We're having our first real rainy day today, so all of the native Portlanders are cheering and those of us from other parts are praying for the sunshine to last a little longer.

Despite the rain, I've found that Portland has grown on me. I think leaving for the summer and coming back has made me like it more.

I was actually at your alma mater (La Salle - Milwaukie) today for an in-service put on by the Archdiocese of Portland. A very spunky sister from Manhattan College gave an inspiring and informative presentation.
