Slope Mountain

Hello everyone,
Yesterday I went on a hike up Slope Mountain (the highest mountin in the Catskills) with our Brothers and most of our 5th graders. The hike was a lot of fun, but tiring! On the way down from the mountain it was really rocky and I stayed behind with one of the boys who wasn't able to keep up with the group, at one point he laid on a big rock and asked if we didn't finish going down the mountain if they would bring a wheelchair for him, luckily he kept going and we eventually caught up with the rest of the group!Things have been going pretty well here in Newburgh- we got a new student who officially starts school tomorrow but he came on the hike so he could meet the other kids and he's really cute. Next weekend I am going into city and I am really excited to see all of you who are going to Bedford Park for Columbus Day!
